Car finance when you are self-employed or work casual
Self-employed, contractor and casual income all count for car finance. Instead of payslips, lenders usually look at three months of bank statements to see what comes in and goes out each week.

Showing your income
- Three months of bank statements showing regular deposits.
- Invoices or a recent tax summary if you have them.
- Keep business and personal spending easy to tell apart if you can.
Irregular weeks
If your pay changes week to week, lenders look at the average over the months. You need $500 or more a week coming in on average.
