By using Kiwi Car Finance, including any brands it operates, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who we are

Kiwi Car Finance is a lead-generation referral service based in New Zealand. It operates under the Kiwi Car Finance name and any other brand listed on our home page. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Kiwi Car Finance.

What we do

Kiwi Car Finance connects New Zealand car buyers with 1 Stop Motors and its finance providers. We pass your details to them so they can assess your application. With your consent, 1 Stop Motors may run a credit check and collect your bank statements to assess your creditworthiness. We are not a lender, finance company, or credit provider. Lending decisions, rates, and final terms are determined by the lender under their own processes and criteria.

Eligibility

To use Kiwi Car Finance you must be: 18 years or older, a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, with payslips OR three months of bank statements showing income, average weekly net income of at least NZD $500. Imperfect credit, defaults, missed payments, casual income, and fresh-start applications are explicitly welcome and assessed on case-by-case basis by our lender panel.

Fees

Kiwi Car Finance is free for you. No application fees, no hidden charges. We are compensated by our finance partners when a loan is completed. This compensation does not increase your interest rate or the cost of your loan.

Documents

You agree to provide accurate documents (driver's license, payslips or bank statements) as part of the application. These are used solely to verify identity and income for assessment under responsible lending principles.

Your obligations

You agree to provide accurate information. Misrepresentation can result in your application being declined or finance being withdrawn.

Rate lock

Once approved, your lender may hold your rate for up to 14 days. If you do not complete a vehicle purchase in that window, the rate hold expires. You can re-apply at any time at no cost.

Limitation of liability

Pre-approval is indicative. Final lending decisions, rates, and terms are at the sole discretion of our finance partners. Kiwi Car Finance is not liable for loan decisions made by our finance partners, rate changes after your rate hold expires, or any loss arising from dealer or seller transactions outside the pre-approval process.

Complaints

Email info@kiwicarfinance.co.nz. We acknowledge within 5 working days and respond within 20. If unresolved, you may escalate to the dispute resolution scheme operated by our finance partner.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
